First Stretch Goal Reached!
Holy quacamole! You all rule; I can't believe it, the first stretch goal, "New Game+" was unlocked today! This means that upon completing the game, you'll be able to replay the game with all the equipment that you've earned in your previous playthrough (Including the Postcat Hat if you found it!), and start over against more powerful enemies.
This also means we've gotten closer the to Switch port stretch goal at $40k, which I know many (ourselves included!) are excited for. It won't be easy, but it's within reach. Let's all keep on pushing and we'll see what we can make happen! 💖
Postcat Hat Unlocked
Also bravo avacado! We also just reached 10 backer achievement points! Which means that the Postcat Hat accessory for Rio and Reima has been unlocked for the final game! You'll be able to equip/unequip this accessory once you've found it in the world, and it will visually show up on your character(s) of choice!
We're having a vote right now in the official Shrine's Legacy Discord Server to decide the potentially final backer achievement to be shown; it won't be easy to reach 13 backer achievement points but never say never! New Reward Tier!
We decided to add a new high-end digital-only tier: "I'm an Ardemian Digital (Design)"! It's $300 compared to the physical tier equivalent of $600. It won't include the Physical Edition Box or any other physical rewards which is why we're able to make it less expensive. Basically, it'll allow a higher tier option for people who are only interested in digital items.
This tier is available now as of posting this update, so feel free to back it if it's something that interests you!
Shout-out
We have a unique shout-out today. We're shouting out a really awesome title that already completed a very successful Kickstarter campaign and is now going for wishlists on Steam! This game shares a few very similar elements (no pun intended) to our game, but with a very different style.
Elementallis
Elementallis is a 2D Zelda-like where the elements are of critical importance. Explore a vast world and complete the trials of its temples to be able to restore all the elements. You’ll be able to use these elements in fights, puzzle-solving and exploration. Freeze your enemies, grow vines to climb to higher places, light up dark places with fire or clear pits thanks to the power of the wind. You can even combine elements to maximize their impact!

Just under four hours remain and almost $35k has been raised! It has been atruly amazing run. We had no idea what to expect when we hit launch, so seeing the support of over 600 backers is totally surreal! Thank you all!
Celebration Stream
Join us on the official Shrine's Legacy Discord Server starting very soon after this backer update is published as we celebrate the completion of the Kickstarter! We'll be streaming the Shrine's Legacy demo and potentially other games as well!
Switch Port Stretch Goal
I know 4 hours isn't much time, but it's not technically over yet! And every little bit we get helps us make the Switch Port a reality sooner even if it doesn't get us all the way to the $40k goal! So just know that every donation big or small means the world to us!
And one last reminder, if we don't reach the Switch stretch goal, we still want to bring the game to Switch! We can't offer Switch keys as a backer reward unless we reach that goal, but you'll still be able to buy a separate digital Switch copy when the Switch version launches.
For those wondering why it's difficult to give Switch keys and why the stretch goal is necessary to do that, we have to pay a fee for each key that we ask from Nintendo, where as we don't have to do that for Steam keys.
New Add-on for Soundtrack copies
One last thing...if you were interested in getting more digital copies of the soundtrack, it is now available as an add-on for $10 each copy!

With about 12 days to go, we've reached 72% funded and over 400 backers! Thanks so much for the overwhelming support! There's now less than 7k left to raise before we're 100% funded! Not only that, but we're making very good progress towards new backer achievements (including just 4 Discord members away from the next Discord goal)! Let's see how far we can get!

Today I wanted to share a couple of really cool sketches that Steph made while developing the key art for Shrine's Legacy (the one you see in our Kickstarter image). Think of these as possible alternate Rio, Reima, castle, and weapon designs that could have been! Even an alternate layout for Rio's and Reima's stance in [B] in the image right below here:

Postcats deliver all the mail in the world of Ardemia! Join this contest to make your own Postcat design that could appear in Shrine's Legacy!
Make it like a purrfect digital portrait or a cat-scratchingly fine pixel art piece! Or even a cool sketch that makes you meow with happiness. However you can do it, we'd love for you join the contest! 🐈
The best five Postcat designs (as decided by Alan and myself) will make it into the final game! The focus is on creativity and what we believe would look great and fun in the game more so than it is about raw art quality, so keep that in mind! So please join in even if you aren't the perfect artist. You could still win, especially if you have an awesome idea! The contest ends in four weeks on November 17th at 8PM EST.

Here's a template for a pixel art version of the cat how they currently appear in the game. Yup, they are small! By the way, if you come up with multiple designs, you are free to share as many as you want! If any one of them is selected, you'll still be counted as a contest winner!

We're also at 63% funding right now! Pretty awesome! It's worth mentioning that we're down to the last two early birds for the Adventurer of Ardemia tier, so if you are interested in playing the beta before the final launch, make sure to grab it for the early bird discount while you still can!

This time around I want to shout out a great looking RPG title on Kickstarter called Keylocker | Turn Based Cyberpunk Action. They have less than three days of their campaign remaining, so be sure to take a look while you have the chance!
As a Singer in a world without music, play with your band, date cyborgs & fight for Saturn's freedom in this Tactical Rhythm RPG inspired by the Mario RPGs and Chrono Trigger. The trailer is awesome, so be sure to click the campaign link at the bottom (or either of the pictures!) and check that out!
They JUST reached their Switch port stretch goal as of posting this update, and are on their way to the New Game + stretch goal which also adds more to the story! And they are also offering Physical copies and a Collector’s edition with Merch, as well as a Limited Edition special Jacket! Very Cool!
